The Role:
We're looking for a Director of People, Culture, and Engagement who shares our passion for people. You'll be the driving force behind our employee experience, ensuring our team feels valued, supported, and inspired every day. From oversight to hands-on support, you'll lead our Culture and Engagement Department, fostering a workplace that reflects our mission and values. As a fast-paced small business, we often need to pivot quickly to meet changing demands. This role requires someone who thrives in an environment where collaboration across departments and adaptability are essential for success.
What You'll Do:
Champion Company Culture & Values
- Lead initiatives that promote our core values
Oversee HR Policies & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
Enhance Employee Experience
- Support the entire employee life cycle-from onboarding to professional growth. Create pathways for employees to thrive both in and outside of work.
Lead Team Development & Engagement
- Drive engagement initiatives, oversee training programs, and support leadership development to help our team members grow.
Provide Day-to-Day Employee Relations Support
- Be a trusted resource for employees and managers, handling concerns, conflict resolution, and fostering open communication.
Supervise & Lead the Team
- Guide and mentor your Culture and Engagement Team
What We're Looking For:
- Experience providing HR support in a small business is an asset
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint) to report, model, and present information
- Experience with Isolved software is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks, and provide credible analyses and business recommendations
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to professionally connect with and influence a diverse group of individuals
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead projects and work with diverse individuals to identify issues, design solutions, and evaluate results
- Associate's degree in related field with five (5) years of work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is required; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- PHR or SHRM certification is an asset but not required
- Bilingual in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is desired, but not required
